I was avoiding reading Wuthering Heights tonight, and I went searching for old fic I enjoyed, and re-read this one, which is an X-Men/Spiderman crossover, about Hank and Spiderman. I reread it all and was very happy and content cos its a lovely story and then I got to the end and she links to a sequel that is X-Men/Spiderman/Daredevil.
And so awesome :D
It made me think of you. Of course you read stacks of Daredevil fic, so it's possible you've already seen it, but it's still good anyway.
And if you have any Daredevil recs I'd be happy to recieve them. All the more distractions from Wuthering Heights I say :DD |

Honestly, I don't quite understand most of the fuss that people have made about the "backchat" and teasing and things that have been going on behind filtered/friends-locked posts lately. I have several reasons for this, but I'll post them simply, plainly, and leave it at that.
a) People don't want to be confrontational. Not everyone likes to argue, especially about things like the content of someone else's journal, whether it's posted behind a cut, or feel confident enough to post a contrary opinion or advice to what the original poster is looking for. So they say it in private to people in confidence because they need to get something out but don't want to cause a fight, and then they leave it at that.
b) People do this in real life! I do it all the time. A friend does something that pisses me off? Instead of getting angry and confrontational about it, I smile, and rant a little about it to another friend instead. If the situation keeps repeating itself then perhaps I'll talk about it to them in person.
c) It's the internets. Sure, we might not know the whole story or situation behind your life, but no matter what we're going to draw our own conclusions from the information you choose to give us. Just because I get my information through a computer screen instead of via word-of-mouth isn't going to make me any less judgemental or isn't going to stop me from drawing my own conclusions, and no, I am not going to trust everything you say implicitly. If I were you I wouldn't trust everything I write implicitly.
And that's that. I'm not heartbroken that certain people have defriended me. Whatever. It's not the end of the world, there will be a tomorrow, and I'm going to leave it at that. |

There was a spider on my wall next to my lamp when I went to go to sleep. I freaked out, jumped out of bed and grabbed the bug spray and sprayed it, and when it scampered away all sick looking I thought it was all done with.
But no. I noticed something out of the corner of my eye when I was reading.
It was the spider.
Sitting on my shoe.
And in its eyes, it was saying "Yeah, fucker, you try and spray me with that shit and I'LL SURPRISE YOU IN THE MORNING."
I freaked out more and moved upstairs. This is one pro to having all of the family be away for three weeks or whatever. I can claim anyone's bed as my own. I am in my parent's bed.
But problem is now I can't sleep. Cos the spiders will get me. |

IJ hasn't been giving me proper email notifications for about a week now. I'm sorry for being slow on logs but I rely on those. I've switched my notif email over to my gmail hoping that switching the email provider will help me out in this situation. It's getting annoying.
Anyway. I'm hungry and need a shower now. And the dog needs a bath. And my room needs cleaning. And in those past three sentences you've just seen what it is that I'll be doing all day :D |
